LOIS M. KELLIS

Lois M. Kellis, 70, of 78 Harvard St. died Sunday at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Pittsfield on Sept. 12, 1930, daughter of John and Esther Hochstrasser Haverly, she was a 1948 graduate of Pittsfield High School. She was employed by Sears department store for 40 years, retiring in 1992. Mrs. Kellis was an active member of Lenox United Methodist Church and a member of its church choir. She was also a member of the United Methodist Women. Her husband, Donald E. Kellis, whom she married May 8, 1954, died in 1996. She leaves a son, Stephen H. Kellis of Three Rivers; two sisters, Marion Taylor of Pittsfield and Ruth Patton of Gansevorrt, N.Y., and two grandchildren. Services for Mrs. Lois M. Kellis will be Friday at 11 a.m. in Lenox United Methodist Church with the Rev. Steven Perry, pastor of the church, and the Rev. Luther Patton, brother-in-law of Mrs. Kellis, officiating. Cremation will follow. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 to 7 at WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME, 220 East St., Pittsfield. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Endowment Fund of the Lenox United Methodist Church in Mrs. Kellis' memory. Among survivors are a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Jodi Kellis, and two grandchildren, Stephen D. Kellis and Sarah Jo Kellis, both of Three Rivers, Mass.
