Albert Kmiec Jr.

Albert Kmiec Jr., 71, of 54 North Holden St. died yesterday morning at Sweet Brook Care Center in Williamstown, where he had been admitted Tuesday. Born in Adams on Aug. 23, 1929, son of Margaret Hill Kmiec and the late Albert Kmiec Sr., he attended schools in Adams. He was employed at Pfizer Inc. in Adams for many years, retiring several years ago. His wife, the former Margaret L. Brown Bentley, whom he married May 2, 1959, died in 1999. Besides his mother, of Albany, N.Y., he leaves a son, John Kmiec of Norfolk; a sister, Lola Wright of Cohoes, N.Y., and a stepdaughter. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 at AUGE-PACIOREK-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams. The Rev. John C. Chwalek, pastor of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams, will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery. Calling hours will be Saturday from 10 until the service. A brother, Joseph Kmiec, died in 1986.
