Laura T.(Marcone)Ebitz,75,of 40 Kellogg Rd. Sheffield,formerly of North Egremont,died Thursday at Fairview Hospital. She was born in Sheffield daughter of the late Antonio and Antonia Seben)Marcon on September 17,1925. She attended the former Searles High School and was the Activities Director for Great Barrington Health Care till her retirement in 1976.She also did private duty home care, was an accomplished artist who gave lessons and displayed her art work at Searles Castle where she was received an award for her oil paintings. She was very creative and was well known by family and friends for her creative holiday centerpieces. She was the widow of Edward W . Ebitz whom she married August 7,1948 and who died after 40 years on October 22,1988. She is survived by 4 sisters Grace Grazia of Winsted,CT.,Angeline Baldauf, with whom she lived, of Sheffield,Helena Jennings and Pauline Marchetto both of West Stockbridge,several nieces,nephews,and several great nieces and nephews.She was pre-deceased by 2 brothers John and Louis and a sister Mary Pirotta. The Funeral for Laura T.Ebitz, who died Thursday November 9,200O will be Saturday November 11, 200O at 10 A.M. at the HICKEY-ROY FUNERAL HOME to be followed by the liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 A.M. in Our Lady of the Valley Church, with Rev. Frederick Herberle,pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in St.Peter's Cemetery. Family will receive family and friends on Friday November 10 from 6-8 PM at the HICKEY-ROY FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy made be made to the American Cancer Society C/O the HICKEY-ROY FUNERAL HOME 33 SOUTH ST.GREAT BARRINGTON,MA.01230.
