Stephen A. DiSimoni, 85, of 193 Elberon Ave. died Sunday at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Pittsfield on March 23, 1915, son of Angelo and Maria Restivo DiSimoni, he attended Lee schools and was a 1934 graduate of Lee High School. Mr. DiSimoni was employed by the former Smith Paper Co. and later by the Peter J. Schweitzer Paper Co. He retired from the former Kimberly Clark Corp. in 1977. While in Lee, he was a communicant of St. Mary's Church and a member of the Greenock Country Club. He was a former member of the Pontoosuc Country Club. He leaves his wife, the former Eileen Johnson DiSimoni, whom he married in 1996; two daughters, Patricia Williams Belanger of Lee and Kathleen M. Curtin of Tyringham; three stepsons, Ronald Johnson and Richard Johnson, both of Pittsfield, and Steven Johnson of Ashfield; a stepdaughter, Linda Chaiffre of Hinsdale; three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Mr. DiSimoni was predeceased by three grandchildren, James J. Curtin in 1961, Kevin M. Curtin in 1963, and Katy Beth Curtin Murphy in 1999. The funeral will be held Thursday morning at 9 from the KELLY FUNERAL HOME with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9:30 at St. Mary's Church in Lee. Cremation will follow. Visiting hours at the Kelly Funeral Home will be Wednesday from 4 to 7. In lieu of flowers, friends wishing may make donations to Make a Wish in care of the funeral home.
