Richard Kitterman

Richard J. Kitterman, 49, of 99 Second St. died June 17 at Berkshire Medical Center of heart failure. Born in Pittsfield on Aug. 16, 1951, son of Juanita Silvano Kitterman and the late Roy J. Kitterman Jr., he attended local schools and graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1970. Mr. Kitterman volunteered at Berkshire Medical Center for almost 12 years after being injured in a motor vehicle accident as a child. In his younger years, he enjoyed fishing and won several bowling trophies. He also enjoyed helping people at the hospital and in his apartment complex. He leaves several cousins. A memorial service will be conducted Friday afternoon at 1 p.m. at the DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME. At his request, his cremated remains will be scattered in the Atlantic. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the BMC Dialysis Unit in care of the funeral home.
