Paul B. Bowers

Paul B. Bowers Sr., 73, of Sebring, Fla., formerly of Lee, died June 22 in Tampa, Fla. Born in Lee on May 28, 1928, son of David and Helen Orienti Bowers, he attended St. Mary's School and was a 1945 graduate of Lee High School. He graduated from Boston University in 1952. He served in the Navy from 1945 until 1948. Mr. Bowers was employed by the Social Security Department in Washington, D.C., retiring in 1983. His wife, the former Marion Schneider, died in 1999. He leaves a son, Peter K. Bowers of Baltimore; a daughter, Ellen B. Clifton of Huntley, Mont.; a brother, David C. Bowers of Lee, and a grandchild. He was predeceased by a son, Paul B. Bowers Jr., who died in 1992.
