Stella T. Koldys

Stella T. Koldys, 79, of 227 Grove St., Housatonic, died Wednesday at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Housatonic on Feb. 15, 1922, daughter of Teofil and Teofila Brzoska Bubrzycki, she graduated from the former Searles High School. A homemaker, Mrs. Koldys was the bookkeeper for her husband's plumbing business. She was an active member of All Saints' Church in Housatonic and its Rosary Sodality. She enjoyed tending to flowers and cooking holiday meals for her family. Her husband, Benjamin A. "Bunnie" Koldys, whom she married Dec. 27, 1941, in All Saints', died in September 1987. She leaves two daughters, Patricia A. Carlotto and Maureen E. Brazie, both of Housatonic; a son, Benjamin A. Koldys Jr. of Housatonic; five grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. The funeral will be Saturday, July 7, at 9:15 at HICKEY-ROY FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial conducted at 10 at All Saints' Church in Housatonic by the Rev. Anthony J. Jutt, pastor. Burial will follow in the family plot in St. Bridget's Cemetery. The family will receive friends today, July 6, from 4 until 7 at the funeral home.
