John F. Dagesse

John F. Dagesse, 66, of 2844 Hancock Road died Wednesday at home. Born in Woonsocket, R.I., on Nov. 23, 1934, son of Pierre and Dora Brodeur Dagesse, he received an associate of science degree from Mount Wachusett Community College in Gardner. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Dagesse was employed as an engineering technician in the program management office for the Department of the Navy in Pittsfield. He retired in 2000 after 31 years of service. He and his wife, the former Mary B. Backus Walker, were married Oct. 26, 1991, in St. Stephen's Church. Besides his wife, he leaves a stepson, Daniel G. Walker of Savoy; a brother, Normand Dagesse of Rhode Island; two sisters, Madeline Joubert of Rhode Island and Sister Anita Dagesse of the Order of the Presentation of Mary in Methuen, and a stepgrandson. Private memorial services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dylan Walker Educational Fund in care of DWYER FUNERAL HOME.
