Daniel C. Conley

Daniel C. Conley, 90, of 35 Lowden St. died Monday at home. Born in Pittsfield on Feb. 16, 1911, son of Edward and Julia Walsh Conley, he was a 1929 graduate of St. Joseph's High School. He was a 1933 graduate of St. Michael's College, where he received his bachelor of arts degree. He received his master's degree from the former North Adams State College in 1966. He was a World War II Army Air Corp veteran, serving with the 8th Air Force Strategic Command in England. Mr. Conley was employed in customer service at General Electric Co. in the Voltage Regulator Engineering Department as an engineering technician. He retired in 1976 after 35 years of service. He was a communicant of St. Teresa Church, where he was a Eucharistic minister and lecturer. He was a member of the GE Quarter Century and Pensioners clubs and the St. Michael's Alumni Association of Berkshire County. He was also a former member of the Berkshire Hills Country Club. He leaves his wife, the former Mary Hamilton, whom he married July 29, 1950, in Sacred Heart Church in Pittsfield. Funeral services will be tomorrow, Thursday, July 12, at 11:30 a.m. from DWYER FUNERAL HOME, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at noon at St. Teresa Church, with the Rev. John J. Varley, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be at DWYER FUNERAL HOME tomorrow morning, Thursday, from 10:30 until 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to HospiceCare in the Berkshires or to St. Teresa Church in care of the DWYER FUNERAL HOME in his memory.
