Elizabeth Ingram

Elizabeth Diamond Ingram, 82, of Sarah Lane, Simsbury, Conn., formerly of Lee, died Tuesday at Hartford (Conn.) Hospital. Born in Pittsfield on Sept. 5, 1918, daughter of Frank and Florence Purcell Diamond, she had resided in Lee before moving to Simsbury many years ago. She graduated from Lee High School and from Radcliffe College in Cambridge. Mrs. Ingram was employed as an administrative assistant at the Unitarian Meeting House in Bloomfield. She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Church in West Simsbury, and the Simsbury Women's Club, the Simsbury Garden Club. She enjoyed playing bridge. Her husband, R. Bruce Ingram, is deceased. She leaves a son, Ronald Ingram of Middletown; two daughters, Nancie Ingram of West Hartford and Constance Ingram of Vallejo, Calif.; a brother, William Diamond of Reading, and two grandchildren. Friends may call at VINCENT FUNERAL HOME, 880 Hopmeadow St., Simsbury, Thursday, July 12, from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral will be Friday, July 13, at 12:15 p.m. from Vincent Funeral Home, Simsbury, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Church, West Simsbury. Burial will be Saturday, July 14, at noon at St. Mary's Cemetery, Lee. Memorial donations may be made to the Simsbury Public Library, 725 Hopmeadow St., Simsbury, CT 06070.
