Helen Diamond

Helen M. Diamond, 75, of Lee died Tuesday at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Pittsfield on July 28, 1925, daughter of George and Carmella Waddock Diamond, she attended Lee schools and was a 1943 graduate of Lee High School. Miss Diamond was employed by Lee Savings Bank for many years, retiring in 1986. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church where, in her younger years, she performed as an organist and was a member of the choir. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, and listening to and watching the news. She was a "Weather Watcher" reporter for WSBS Radio. She also enjoyed the company of her family and close friends. She leaves two nephews and four nieces. She was predeceased by a sister, Marian D. Wood, who was also from Lee. Funeral services will be Friday morning at 8:15 from KELLY FUNERAL HOME in Lee, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in Lee. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Friends wishing may make donations to the Lee Regional VNA or to the Lee Ambulance Squad in care of the Kelly Funeral Home.
