William Seaman

William H. Seaman, 87, of 11 Windigo Road died Wednesday at home. He served on the town Finance Committee, Planning Board and Council on Aging. Born in Wantagh, N.Y., on Jan. 10, 1914, son of Henry L. and L. May Keenholts Seaman, he attended the University of Alabama for two years and graduated from Ohio University. He was a resident of Windsor for 45 years. Mr. Seaman was a management consultant with Sperry Gyroscope, Textron, Ford Motor and R.R. Donnelly companies, and with Cresap McCormick & Paget Consultants. In 1955, he founded Seaman & Co. Management Consultants, from which he retired last year. He and his wife, the former Delight Mead, would have celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary Sept. 26. Besides his wife, he leaves a son, S. Gregory Seaman of Kinderhook, N.Y.; two daughters, Linda Seaman Nainis of Chevy Chase, Md., and Sheila Seaman Nee of Charleston, S.C.; five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, July 22, at 5 at BARTLETT-WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME, 525 Main St., Dalton, with the Rev. Levi Davenport officiating. Following cremation, burial will be in Windsor Bush Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the VNA/Hospice Alliance, 168 Industrial Drive, Northampton, MA 01060.
