Rosemary C. "GG" Glendon Sr., 83, of 5960 Lockamy Lane, Norfolk, Va., died Friday at home. Born in Pittsfield on May 23, 1918, daughter of Francis L. and Ruby Farley Curley, she attended local schools. She was employed at one time as a hairdresser in Springfield. Mrs. Glendon was a member of St. Gregory's Church in Virginia Beach. Her husband, retired Navy Lt. Bernard P. Glendon Sr., died Dec. 26, 1987. She leaves two daughters, Gail C. Labyak and Rosemary C. Glendon Jr., both of Virginia Beach; four sons, Howard E. Merrill Jr. of Piedmont, Calif., Bernard P. Glendon Jr. of Baltimore, Michael J. Glendon of Virginia Beach and Patrick T. Glendon of Norfolk; a sister, Margaret Curley Drake of Stockbridge; 10 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. A Christian Burial Service will be celebrated tomorrow, July 16, 2001, at 1 in the chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home and Crematory, Norfolk, Va., by Father Paschal N. Kneip, OSB. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Norfolk, Va. A Wake Service will be held today at 2, with open visitation until 4 and the family will receive friends again from 6 to 8. Her children request that in her memory you perform a kind deed, say a kind word or help someone in need.
