Sylvia Costigan

Sylvia S. Costigan, 93, of Stonehenge Road died Sunday evening at home. Born in N.J., on Dec, 27, 1907, daughter of Gustav and Hulda Heinisiltaa Eskola, she graduated from New Jersey schools. She was employed by the former England's department store. In her younger years, she worked in New York City. She was a of St. Mary's Church in Cheshire. She and her husband, Thomas J. Costigan, were married in 1940. He died in 1977. She leaves three sons, Thomas J. Costigan of Pittsfield, and Ronald A. Costigan and Brian J. Costigan, both of Cheshire; a daughter, Maureen Costigan of Cambridge; four grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. Another son, William J. Costigan, died in January 1988. A memorial service will be held at a later date. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Berkshire Visiting Nurse Association in care of Dery-CHESHIRE FUNERAL HOME, North State Road, Cheshire, 01225, which is in charge of arrangements.
