Ronald Rougeau

Ronald Ernest Rougeau, 55, of 13 Highland Ave. died Tuesday evening at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Adams on Jan. 12, 1946, son of Philemon and Rita Sauve Rougeau, he graduated from the former Notre Dame Elementary School and from the former St. Joseph's High School in 1963. He completed the apprentice draftsman course at C.H. McCann Technical High School in North Adams. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the Army in Germany from 1963 until 1967. Mr. Rougeau was employed as a draftsman for GE in Pittsfield and, most recently, for General Dynamics Corp. He completed 30 years of service this year. He was a communicant of the Parish of Notre Dame and St. Thomas Aquinas. He leaves a daughter, Terri-Lynn Rougeau of Adams; a brother, Bernard D. Rougeau of Pownal, Vt.; two sisters, Frances Joseph of Milton, Vt., and Lillian Joyner of Lenox Dale, and three grandchildren. The funeral will be held on Saturday at 9:15 a.m. from the AUGE-PACIOREK-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs Church, Adams, celebrated by the Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, pastor of the Parish of Notre Dame and St. Thomas Aquinas. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours are Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a trust fund to be established for his grandchildren through the funeral home. He leaves three grandchildren, Mackenzi, Maxwell and Madison Mitchell, all of Adams.
