Peter Pyrzanowski

Peter Pyrzanowski, 58, of 55 Spring St., New Britain, Conn., died Sunday at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, Conn., after a short battle with cancer. Born in Pittsfield on April 22, 1943, son of John and Jennie Baginski Pyrzanowski, he graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1961. He moved to Connecticut more than 30 years ago and had lived in Newington for 20 years before recently moving to New Britain. He was an Army veteran. He was employed by Reno Machine Co. as an electrician and then a machinist for 18 years, and was most recently employed by Royal Machine and Tool, both in Connecticut. A member of the Church of the Holy Spirit in Newington, Mr. Pyrzanowski was a third-degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council 3884 and the Newington Polish American Club. He was an avid Red Sox, Celtic and University of Connecticut sports fan. He leaves his wife, the former Thanh Nguyen, and a brother, Stanley Pyrzanowski of Pittsfield. The funeral will be Thursday at 9:15 from NEWINGTON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 at the Church of the Holy Spirit. Relatives and friends are invited to call tomorrow from 7 to 9 at the funeral home. On Saturday, a Mass will be held at 10 in Holy Family Church, Seymour Street, Pittsfield, followed by interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery. He was predeceased by a brother, John Pyrzanowski.
