Rose M. Greehey

Rose M. Greehey, 79, of Sarasota, Fla., formerly of Pittsfield, died Saturday at home. Born in Pittsfield on May 3, 1922, daughter of Louis and Anna Montanaro Pasquarelli, she moved to Sarasota 35 years ago from New York City. Mrs. Greehey served in the Army Medical Corps during World War II. At one time, she was the general manager of the Monomoy Theatre on Cape Cod. She was a member of the Gulf Gate Club, Rolling Green Golf Club, both in Sarasota, and a volunteer at Sarasota Memorial Hospital for 25 years. She was a communicant of St. Thomas More Church in Sarasota from the time it was established, and served as principal sacristan for 14 years. She was predeceased by her husband, William A. Greehey. She leaves a son, Kevin J. Greehey of Sarasota; a stepson, William A. Greehey III of Waldwick, N.J.; four sisters, Mary Rotondo of Johnston, R.I., Carmella Benoit and Frances Gavin, both of Pittsfield, and Helen Liles of Tallahassee, Fla.; two brothers, Sam Pasquarelli of Tallahassee and Louis Pasquarelli of Pittsfield, and a granddaughter.
