Rita Lacross

Rita Cecile Lacross, 86, of 29 Mohawk Forest Boulevard died Monday at North Adams Regional Hospital. Born in Stamford, Vt., on March 28, 1915, daughter of Francis and Delina Lagenesse Robillard, she attended Stamford schools. She had resided in North Adams for 60 years. She was employed by the former Hoosac Cotton Mill for 25 years and, most recently, by the former Hunter Outdoor Products for eight years, retiring in 1978. She was a communicant of Notre Dame du Sacre Coeur Church. She leaves her husband, George L. Lacross, whom she married April 14, 1941, and a brother, Edgar Robillard of North Springfield, Vt. Funeral services will be held at 9:15 a.m. Friday from AUGE-SAN SOUCIE-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, North Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Notre Dame Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery, North Adams. Calling hours at the funeral home will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in her memory be made to either Notre Dame Church or a charity of the donor's choice through the funeral home, 46 North Church St., North Adams, MA 01247.
