Ruth E. Chenail, 77
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Ruth E. Chenail, 77, of 63 Syrek St., Chicopee, a native of North Adams, died Friday, Aug. 10, 2001, at Holyoke Hospital.
Born Sept. 23, 1923, daughter of Joseph and Edith Sheldon Luscier, she attended North Adams schools. She moved from Holyoke to Chicopee 38 years ago.
While in North Adams, Mrs. Chenail worked at the former Sprague Electric Co.
Her husband, Louis M. Chenail, died in 1985.
She leaves a son, Robert A. LaBonte of Fitchburg; two daughters, Charlene L. Haesaert and Lorraine R. Chenail, both of Chicopee; four brothers, Raymond Luscier of Cheshire, Ralph Luscier of North Adams, Gerald Luscier of Williamstown and Donald M. Luscier of Pittsfield; two sisters, Eleanor Townsend of Pittsfield and Carol Boucher of North Adams; nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a brother, Eugene Luscier, formerly of North Adams.
FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mrs. Chenail will be this morning at 9 from RYDER FUNERAL HOME, 33 Lamb St., South Hadley, followed by a Mass at 10 at St. Anne's Church and burial in St. Rose de Lima Cemetery, both in Chicopee. Calling hours were yesterday. Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners' Hospital for Children, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA 01104-2396.
