Helen R. Caplan

Helen R. Caplan, 92, of Lebanon, Pa., a native of Williamstown, died Aug. 5 at home. Born in Williamstown on Oct. 8, 1908, daughter of Morris and Pescha Shapiro Rudnick, she attended local schools. She graduated from Simmons College in Boston. After her marriage to Hyman S. Caplan in 1938, she moved to Lebanon. She was a member of Congregation Beth Israel, its sisterhood and Hadassah in Lebanon. Mr. Caplan died in 1987. She leaves two sons, Perry Caplan of York, Pa., and Eli Caplan of Lebanon; a daughter, Joele Margolis of Wellsville, Pa., and three grandchildren.
