Rose M. Lombardi

Rose M. Lombardi, 80, of 34 Howe Road died yesterday morning at Williamstown Commons in Williamstown. Born in Pittsfield on May 21, 1921, daughter of Henry H. and Agnes Powers McErlain, she was a 1939 graduate of St. Joseph's High School. Mrs. Lombardi was employed by GE for 12 years, retiring in 1952. She was a communicant of St. Francis' Church and a member of its Rosary Sodality and craft group. She was also a member of the MESRAHA social club. She and her husband, Angelo W. Lombardi, would have celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary Sept. 4. They were married in St. Joseph's Church. Besides her husband, she leaves a son, Richard A. Lombardi of Dalton; two daughters, Linda Lombardi Burque of Leeds and Suzanne Lombardi-Rocca of Hinsdale; a sister, Mary A. Tucker of Pittsfield, and seven grandchildren. The funeral will be Tuesday, Aug. 21, at 9:15 from DWYER FUNERAL HOME, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 in St. Francis Xavier Church celebrated by the Rev. Paul Bombardier, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be today, Monday, Aug. 20, at the funeral home from 4 to 7. If friend desire, memorial donations may be made to St. Francis Xavier Church or to the Association for the Blind in care of the funeral home. She was predeceased by a brother, Peter McErlain, and a sister, Winifred Williams.
