Edward J. Carsno Sr., 74
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Edward Joseph Carsno Sr., 74, of 35 Yale St. died Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009, at his home.
Born in North Adams on Dec. 14, 1934, son of Harold L. Carsno Sr. and Florence Duverney Carsno, he attended North Adams schools. He lived in Attleboro for many years until returning to North Adams in 1994.
Mr. Carsno was last employed by Modern Aluminum Anodizing. Before that, he worked in environmental services at a hospital in Walpole.
He attended the First Baptist Church and enjoyed building model ships. He was a die-hard fan of the New England Patriots and New York Yankees.
He leaves his wife, the former Norma Botelho, whom he married Sept. 13, 1991; a son, Harold E. Carsno of North Adams; four daughters, Kathleen Park of Williamstown, Sharon Munger of Franklin, and Andrea Stever and April Lynn Smith, both of North Adams; three sisters, Elizabeth Jordan, Phyllis LaPine and Margaret MacDonald, all of North Adams, 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his children Edward J. Carsno Jr., Terri Lynn Carsno and Lisa M. Carsno, and his siblings Catherine Beliveau and Harold Carsno Jr., Leo Carsno and Ralph Carsno.
FUNERAL NOTICE —The funeral for Mr. Carsno will be Wednesday, Nov. 18, at 1 from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Wednesday from 11 to 1. Donations may be made to the American Lung Association in care of the funeral home.
