Stella Angela DiMaleo, 82, of 29 Valley St. died Monday at North Adams Regional Hospital, where she was admitted earlier that day. Born in Adams on Oct. 1, 1918, daughter of Stanislaw and Aniela Janiga Strzepek, she attended Adams schools. Primarily a homemaker, Mrs. DiMaleo was employed by the former Berkshire Fine Spinning Co. for several years. She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church and a member of its Rosary Sodality. Her husband, John B. DiMaleo, whom she married June 21, 1943, died March 4, 1992. She leaves two daughters, Donna M. LeSage of Adams, with whom she made her home, and Cheryl A. DiMaleo of Cheshire, and three grandchildren. The funeral will be held Thursday at 9:15 a.m. from AUGE-PACIOREK-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams, celebrated by the Rev. John C. Chwalek, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours are Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Stanislaus Scholarship Fund or to the Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice of Northern Berkshire through the funeral home.
