Eva Mae Lapan, 91
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Eva Mae Lapan, 91, of East Main Street died Monday, Feb. 15, 2010, at North Adams Commons.
Born in Onchiota, N.Y., on Nov 15, 1918, daughter of Cassius and Cora Shattuck, she grew up in Saranac Lake, N.Y.
Mrs. Lapan retired as an assembler from the former Wall-Streeter Shoe Co.
She leaves her husband, Robert B. Lapan, whom she married Oct. 17, 1955; two daughters, Beverly J. Gillooly and Virginia M. White, both of North Adams; a son, Richard J. LaVaigne Sr. and his wife, Kimmerly, of North Adams, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Her brother, Larry Shattuck, and sister, Christine Robertson, both predeceased her.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Funeral services for Mrs. Lapan will be conducted Wednesday, Feb. 17, at 10 from Auge-San Soucie-Simmons Funeral Home, 46 North Church St., North Adams, by the Rev. Douglas Duncan. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, Feb. 16, from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
