Blanche Gwozdz

Blanche Victoria Gwozdz, 88, of Accomac, Va., formerly of Cheshire, died Aug. 16 at Shore Memorial Hospital in Nassawadox, Va. Born in Indian Orchard on March 21, 1913, she was the daughter of Bruno and Catherine Budz Geboskie. She was a resident of Cheshire for more than 35 years before moving to Columbia, Md., in 1970. She moved to Accomac in 1999. Mrs. Gwozdz was a homemaker. She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony C. Gwozdz. She leaves four daughters, Maryanne Rhoad of Accomac, with whom she resided, Elaine Rondeau of Marietta, Ga., Catherine Hartwig of Berkshire, N.Y., and Theresa Levine of Tucson, Ariz.; two sons, Robert Gwozdz of West Stockbridge and Joseph Gwozdz of Lenox; a sister, Stella Motyka of Ludlow; 10 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Sept. 8, 2001, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's of the Assumption Church in Cheshire. Memorial donations may be made to the Renee Olunbunmi Rondeau Peace Foundation, in memory of her granddaughter, Renee Rondeau, c/o Gordon and Elaine Rondeau, 2125 Dayron Court N/E, Marietta, GA 30062. DOUGHTY FUNERAL HOME INC. in Exmore, Va., is in charge of arrangements.
