Frances P. Baker, 78
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Frances Patricia Baker, 78, of East Timeless Drive, Tucson, Ariz., formerly of North Adams, died Wednesday, March 10, 2010, in Tucson, surrounded by family.
Born in North Adams on Sept. 9, 1931, daughter of George J. and Lena D'Amico Fierro, she attended local schools. She resided in Pownal, Vt., and Tucson for most of her life.
Ms. Baker did modeling and buying for the former Vogue and Vanity womenswear shop in Williamstown. She also had worked at the former Warren Wire Co. in Pownal.
She leaves her sister, Elmira F. Belini of North Adams; two brothers, George N. Fierro and Norman T. Fierro, both of Tucson, and nieces and nephews.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Funeral services for Ms. Baker will held Friday, March 19, at 10:15 from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church in North Adams. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Thursday, March 18, from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested for the Berkshire Humane Society through the funeral home.
