Margaret A. Lamberti, 92
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Margaret Anna Lamberti, 92, of 205 Corinth St. died Tuesday, June 1, 2010, at home.
Born in North Adams on June 23, 1917, daughter of Carlo and Mary Montagna Lamberti, she attended North Adams schools and graduated from Drury High School.
Miss Lamberti owned and operated the former Mohawk Gift Shop on Main Street for 25 years until her retirement in 1986. Before that, she worked at the former Sprague Electric Co. and was the manager of the former Wise Clothing Store. She then worked for Mr. Lenhoff at gift shop until she purchased the business from him.
She was a communicant of the former St. Anthony of Padua Church and was a longtime volunteer at its annual bazaar. She also volunteered with LaFesta and enjoyed cooking, baking and entertaining her friends. She also enjoyed crafts and travel.
She leaves a sister, Josephine L. Lamberti, with whom she made her home. Her brother, William Lamberti, is deceased.
FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Miss Lamberti will be Saturday, June 5, at 9 a.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church in care of the funeral home.
