Ruth England, 80
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Ruth "Betty" England, 80, of 35 Adams Road died Wednesday, June 2, 2010, at Williamstown Commons.
Born in North Adams on March 19, 1930, a daughter of Arthur Cooper and Ruth Sporing Cooper Amato, she graduated from Drury High School in 1949.
Mrs. England was employed by several nursing homes in the area.
She was a member of Stamford (Vt.) Community Church and was a devoted mother and grandmother.
Her former husband, Ralph G. England, is deceased.
She leaves two daughters, Paula Houghton of Readsboro, Vt., and Diane England-Horsfall of North Adams, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Funeral services for Mrs. England will take place Friday, June 4, at 1 p.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Friday from noon until the time of the service at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested for the North Adams Adult Day Care Center through the funeral home.
