Kathleen T. Bell

Kathleen T. Bell, 83, of Bisselville, Hinsdale and East Bradenton, Fla., died Tuesday at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in West Springfield on Oct. 20, 1917, daughter of Francis and Ellen Halladay Carlon, she graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Springfield. She was employed as a secretary at Appalachian Engineering in Pittsfield from 1966 to 1980. She was an active volunteer in the Ladies' Aid Society in Middlefield and the Dalton Grange. She leaves her husband, Ralph M. Bell Sr., whom she married Jan. 14, 1938; a son, Ralph M. Bell Jr. of Hinsdale; a sister, Ruth O'Connell of West Springfield; two grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Services will be Saturday, Sept. 1, at 11 at Middlefield Congregational Church with the Rev. Constance Morrison, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Pinegrove Cemetery in Middlefield. Calling hours will be Friday, Aug. 31, from 4 to 8 at DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME, 890 East Main St., Dalton. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to Berkshire Medical Center Cancer Research or to the Middlefield Congregational Church, both in care of Dery-Foley Funeral Home, 890 East Main St., Dalton, MA 01226.
