Lorraine A. Andrew, 79
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Lorraine Ann Andrew, 79, of 88 Hawthorne Ave. died Friday, May 6, 2011, in the critical-care unit of Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.
Born in North Adams on Sept. 7, 1931, a daughter of Howard and Julia Rokowski Martin, she attended schools in North Adams.
Mrs. Andrew retired from the former Sprague Electric Co. in 1994, after working there for many years.
She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Church of Hungary.
Her husband, William Martin Andrew, whom she married on July 29 1950, died on May 17, 1983.
She leaves a son, Ronald P. Andrew and his wife, Anne, of North Adams; a sister, Joan Mahar of North Adams; her granddaughter and the joy of her life, Elizabeth Andrew of North Adams, and stepgrandson, Nicolas R. Lentine of Pownal, Vt., and several nieces and nephews.
