Exzelia R. Beer, 80
CLARKSBURG, Mass. - Exzelia Ruth Beer, 80, of 1100 Middle Road, died Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at North Adams Regional Hospital.
She was born in North Adams on Feb. 18, 1931, daughter of Joseph and Mary Lemieux Tatro. She attended Clarksburg schools and Drury High School.
She married Ralph A. Beer on June 27, 1953.
Mrs. Beer was primarily a homemaker. Before her marriage, she worked at the former Sprague Electric Co. and later worked at Excelsior Process & Engraving.
She was a communicant of Notre Dame du Sacre Coeur Church. She enjoyed knitting and sewing and was a fan of the Boston Red Sox.
Survivors include daughters Jane Horner and her husband, Robert, of Cheshire and Gail Rondeau and her husband, David, of Adams; a sister, Orella Robare of North Adams; and nieces, nephews and her faithful companion, Callie.
She was predeceased by her husband, who died on Aug. 9, 1997; and brothers Clarence and Stanley Tatro.
FUNERAL NOTICE - A private funeral for Exzelia Beer will be held at Flynn & Dagnoli Home for Funerals Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams. Burial will be in Clarksburg Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation in care of the funeral home.
