Cathy-Jo Magri, 48

ADAMS, Mass. — Cathy-Jo Magri, 48, of 17 Pleasant St., died unexpectedly on Friday, May, 20, at her home. She was born in Pittsfield on Oct. 11, 1962, daughter of the late Joseph and Katherine Magri. Ms. Magri attended Pittsfield public schools and graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1981. She continued her education at Berkshire Community College, Hampshire College and Antioch University New England Graduate School, where she earned Master's and doctorate degrees in clinical psychology. She worked as a crisis counselor at Berkshire Medical Center and Bay State Medical Center in the ER Crisis Unit during her years of employment. She was amazing at her profession and thought of as a brilliant, intellectual, kind and loyal individual. Her sense of humor always seemed to break the ice in any situation. She was a communicant of St. Mary's of the Assumption Parish in Cheshire. She enjoyed reading, writing, cooking Italian foods, listening to an array of music, trips to Cape Cod and reminiscing about family history. She loved dogs, especially her late black Lab, Pachoulli, and her beloved two-year-old Carin Terrier, Dino Angelo. She leaves a sister, Donna Magri of Winchester, N.H.; a half-sister, Carmella Magri of Florida; a half-brother, Joseph Magri of Florida; a niece, Angela O'Connor of Arundel, Maine; nephews Michael O'Connor of Biddeford, Maine, Angelo Magri Jr. of Cheshire and Anthony Magri of Palm Bay, Fla.; and beloved cousins Diane Fields and Joanne Belanger, both of Pittsfield. She also leaves long-time friends Angie Campoli of Cheshire, Billie Bozone and Anne Smyth of Belchertown and Jessamyn Smyth of Amherst. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Angelo Magri Sr. FUNERAL NOTICE — A Mass will be held at St. Mary's of the Assumption Parish in Cheshire with the Rev. David Raymond on Saturday, May 28, at 10 a.m. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. The Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals Central Chapel, 74 Marshall St., North Adams is in charge of arrangements.

Cathy you will be missed. cathy was a wonderful women with so much life to give. It breaks my heart to hear of her passing. My condolences to cathy's family. Heaven is blessed to have cathy. And I feel blessed to have know cathy.

I can't believe you are gone! Way to young to go. I will always remeber you as Vibrant and full of life. Even though last time I saw you was a while after surgery and things were going oh so wrong.

But you held your head high. You some how seem to accept what will be will be. You gave me strength when I didn't think I had any left in me.
They say there are reasons for everything and seasons as well. I don't know why its not for us to understand. I hope you know I loved you and still love ya. I will see you again my friend and together we shall laugh together again.
