Nancy D. Barber, 76
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Nancy Dougherty Barber, 76, of 56 Langlois Ave. died Saturday, July 2, 2011, at Williamstown Commons.
Born in North Adams on Jan. 25, 1935, daughter of Joseph and Gladys Martin Barber, she graduated from Drury High School with the class of 1952.
Ms. Barber was employed by Williams College for 25 years until her retirement in 1996. Before that, she worked at the former Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams and for the U.S. State Department for two years each in New Delhi, India, and Madrid.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in North Adams and of its Friendly Circle.
She leaves several cousins.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A graveside service for Ms. Barber will be held on Friday, Aug. 12, at 11 a.m. in Southview Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
