Barbara A. Raymond, 78
ADAMS, Mass. — Barbara Ann Raymond, 78, of 116 Howland Ave. died Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2011, at North Adams Regional Hospital.
Born in North Adams on July 24, 1933, daughter of William Crockwell and Margaret McGinnis Crockwell Richards, she attended the former St. Joseph's High School.
Mrs. Raymond was primarily a homemaker. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking and crocheting and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Her husband, Donald R. Raymond, whom she married June 17, 1950, died on Feb. 29, 1980.
She leaves two daughters, Laurie A. Skorupski and Diane L. Moran and her husband, Terence, all of Adams; three sons, Donald R. Raymond Jr. of Adams, with whom she made her home, Thomas J. Raymond Sr. and his wife, Carol, of Cheshire, and John A. Raymond and his wife, Sandy, of North Adams; a sister, Mary Mekdeci of Adams; 10 grandchildren, Thomas and Derek Raymond of Cheshire, Amber, Mike and Brian Skorupski and Cammie and Abbie Moran, all of Adams, and Jennifer, Lisa and Shane Raymond of North Adams; seven great-grandchildren, Emilie, David, Ethan Raymond; Tatianna and Yasmine Raymond and Alyssa, Ammar and Anthony Skorupski, and nieces and nephews.
Her siblings Margaret Falco, James and Thomas Crockwell predeceased her.
FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mrs. Raymond will be held Monday, Dec. 12, at 11 from First Congregational Church of Adams. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Sunday, Dec. 11, from 2 to 5 at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams.
