Michael A. Ritcher, 47
READSBORO, Vt. - Michael Aaron Ritcher, 47, of 1806 Bosley Hill Road died Thursday, Dec. 8, 2011, at his home.
Born in North Adams, Mass., on Sept. 12, 1964, son of Clarence and Betty Ann Bostwick Ritcher of Clarksburg, Mass., he attended schools in Clarksburg and also Drury High School in North Adams.
Mr. Ritcher was primarily a homemaker to his family. He enjoyed raising animals and operated a small farm. He also enjoyed gardening, fishing, and drawing.
Besides his parents, he leaves his wife, the former Samantha C. Hillman, whom he married on May 18, 1990; two sons, Aaron Peter Ritcher of Readsboro and Michael Murphy of North Adams; three daughters, Savannah Marissa Ritcher of Readsboro, Crystal Ames of North Adams and Stephanie Ritcher of Pittsfield; two brothers, Allen Ritcher of Woodstock, Ccnn., and Darrin Ritcher of Greenfield, Mass.; two sisters, Dawn Valotta of Clarksburg and Christine Whiteman of Canaan, N.Y.; four grandchildren, Noah, Maliek, Athena and Alecia, and nieces and nephews.
FUNERAL NOTICE - The funeral for Mr. Ritcher will be held Tuesday, Dec. 13, at 4 from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Burial will be private.
Calling hours will be Tuesday from 2 until the time of the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Berkshire Humane Society in care of the funeral home.
