Doris P. Gamache, 78
POWNAL, Vt. — Doris Pearl Gamache, 78, of 2752 Route 346 died Friday, Jan. 6, 2012, at home.
Born in Worcester, Mass., on Oct. 26, 1933, daughter of Napoleon and Hortense Doucet Manseau, she attended the former Adams, Mass., High School.
Mrs. Gamache was last employed by Northern Berkshire Home Health Care.
She was a communicant of the former Notre Dame du Sacre Coeur Church in North Adams, Mass. She enjoyed bingo, crafts and ceramics. Her passion was her children and grandchildren.
Her husband, Eugene A. Gamache, whom she married Nov. 1, 1950, died Feb. 4, 2002.
She leaves two sons, Robert Gamache and his wife, Barbara, of Clarissa, Minn., and David Gamache of North Adams; three daughters, Terri Johnson of Cheshire, Mass., Paula Morgan and her husband, David, of North Adams, and Kirsten Myallaked of Huntington, Mass.; a brother, John Manseau of Clarendon, Vt.; a sister, Cecile Guyan of Spencer, Mass., and grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Several of her brothers and sisters are deceased.
FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mrs. Gamache will be held Tuesday, Jan. 10, at 2 p.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, Mass. Burial will be in the spring in Southview Cemetery in North Adams.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in care of the funeral home.
