Richard W. Butler, 63
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Richard William Butler, 63, of 411 Tiger Blvd., Bentonville, Ark., formerly of North Adams, died Saturday, Dec. 24, 2011, in Bentonville.
Born in North Adams on May 1, 1948, son of Carl E. and Mildred Cuddeback Butler, he graduated from Drury High School with the class of 1967. He resided in Bentonville for many years.
An Army veteran of the Vietnam War, he enlisted after graduation and was honorably discharged with the rank of sergeant.
Mr. Butler was employed for many years by Scott Paper Co. and, most recently, by Walmart, both in Arkansas.
A sports fan, his favorite pastime was watching the New England teams and the Arkansas Razorbacks.
He leaves his wife, Brenda; daughters, Keli and Amiee, of Arkansas; his sister, Nancy Parrino and her husband, George, of North Adams; two brothers, Carl Butler and his wife, Lillian, of New Jersey and David Hamer and his wife, Elizabeth, of New Hampshire; six grandchildren, Garrison, Greyson, Garrett, Tattom, Regi and Olivia; a son-in-law, David Snell; brothers- and sisters-in-law, David Chase, Thomas Prentice, James Prentice, Sharon Dorff, Marie Chase, Lisa Prentice and Glenna Prentice, and nieces and nephews.
His son, Christopher Todd Butler, and his twin, Robert A. Butler, predeceased him.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A memorial service for Mr. Butler was held on Friday, Jan. 18, in Bentonville.
