Lydia Decker

Lydia Decker, 82, of 25 B West Street died Sunday at home. Born in Great Barrington on Aug. 6, 1919, daughter of Byron and Lydia Kinne Decker, she spent most of her childhood in Housatonic, and her adult life in Northampton. She returned to the Berkshires in 1978. She was an avid collector of Teddy Bear memorabilia and shared her joy of collecting with others. She leaves her sister-in-law, Barbara Decker of Lee. Funeral services will be Thursday at noon at DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME with the Rev. Peter Gregory, pastor of St. Charles' Church, officiating. A visitation hour will preceed the funeral, and burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Housatonic. Her brother, Clarence Decker, died July 8, 2001.
