Anna Duteau, 101

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Anna Duteau, 101, formerly of 59 Angeli St., died Saturday, April 21, 2012, at Williamstown Commons. Born in Champlain, N.Y., on Sept. 18, 1910, she was the daughter of Hormidas and Orelie Barriere Masson. Mrs. Duteau devoted herself to her family and to her faith, and every word and deed of her life was a testament to the remarkable person that God blessed her to be. Her loving influence was felt by six generations and she leaves a legacy that reaches beyond time itself, said her family. Her husband, Omer Duteau, whom she married in 1925, died in 1984. She leaves six loving grandchildren, Dennis Biron and his wife, Michelle, and Lisa Bressett and her husband, William, all of Adams, Donna Gale and her husband, Robert, of Cheshire, Suzanne Bergeron and her husband, Dick, of the town of Florida, Richard Duteau and his wife, Pat, of North Adams and Diane Harrington and her husband, Stephen, of Hancock, and great-grandchilden and great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased her daughter and son, Theresa Biron and Roland Duteau, and 17 brothers and sisters. FUNERAL NOTICE — A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mrs. Duteau will take place Tuesday, April 24, at 11 from St. Elizabeth Church in North Adams. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. A calling hour will be held on Tuesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams. Memorial donations are suggested for the VNA & Hospice of Northern Berkshire through the funeral home.
