John L. Murray, 90

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — John L. Murray, 90, of 150 Ashland St., died on Monday, July 2, 2012, at North Adams Commons. Born in North Adams on July 14, 1921, a son of John W. and Alice Russett Murray, he attended schools in North Adams and graduated from Drury High School. Mr. Murray worked as a tool maker and machinist for 45 years at the former Sprague Electric Co. until retiring. He was a life member of the North Adams Lodge of Elks and several sportsman's clubs in the area. He was a skilled trout fisherman and was an avid Boston Red Sox and Celtics fan, as well as an avid Kentucky Wild Cats fan. He is survived by a brother, Alan Murray of Glastonbury, Conn., and by his sister, Doris Perrault and her husband, Raymond, of Cheshire. He was predeceased by his brother Norman Murray. FUNERAL NOTICE — Funeral services and burial for Mr. Murray in Southview Cemetery will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Paciorek Funeral Home, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, is in charge of arrangements.
