Marion V. Sherman, 92

ADAMS, Mass. — Marion Violet Sherman, 92, of 75 Commercial St. died Monday, July 23, 2012, at Williamstown Commons. Born in Clarksburg on Dec. 22, 1919, a daughter of Bertrand Lionel and Nora Belle Eddy Sherman, She attended schools in Clarksburg and graduated from Drury High School in North Adams with the class of 1939. Miss Sherman was employed for 22 years at the former Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams until 1971. She was then employed at Williams College, retiring in 1981. She was a member of Stamford (Vt.) Community Church and of the Mill House Senior Association. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by three brothers and a sister, Earl Sherman, Howard Sherman, Ralph B. Sherman and Thelma McNulty. FUNERAL NOTICE — A graveside funeral service for Miss Sherman will take place Saturday, July 28, at 11 a.m. at Clarksburg Cemetery, with the Rev. David Anderson, pastor of First Baptist Church in North Adams officiating. A reception will follow at the Clarksburg Senior Center. Memorial contributions can be made to the Berkshire Humane Society or the Eleanor Sonsini Animal Shelter through Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, MA 01247.
