Zelda J. Barbuto, 71

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Zelda Jane Barbuto, 71, of 44 B St. died Saturday, July 28, 2012, at Williamstown Commons. Born in North Adams on March 2, 1941, daughter of Robert and Irma Campedelli Allen, she attended North Adams schools and graduated from Drury High School with the class of 1959. She also attended North Adams State College. Primarily a homemaker, Mrs. Barbuto was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church and was a former member of the St. Anthony Rosary Society. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and trips to Saratoga. She and her husband, Russell James Barbuto, whom she married on Oct. 19, 1963 in St. Anthony of Padua Church. Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, James Barbuto of Afton, Okla., and John Barbuto of Jacksonville, Fla; a brother, John Allen of Williamstown; two grandchildren, Shealyn Barbuto and Ty Barbuto, and three nieces, Mimi Dawson and Tracy Allen, both of Denver, and Terry Estes of Moose Pass, Alaska. FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mrs. Barbuto will be Friday, Aug. 3, at 10:15 from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will be at a later date. Calling hours will be Thursday, Aug. 2, from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Eileen Barrett Foundation in care of the funeral home.
