Denise M. Peltier, 50
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - Denise Marie Peltier, 50, of 507 Main St. died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2012, at her home after a brief battle with cancer.
Born in Pittsfield on Dec. 30, 1961, a daughter of Richard Joseph and Mary Louise Burns Roark, she attended Lanesborough schools and Mount Greylock Regional High School, from which she graduated in 1980. She also graduated from Greenfield Community College in 1982 and attended Westfield State College.
Mrs. Peltier was a skilled artist and a home-schooling mother who devoted her love and life to her family.
She and her husband, Steven Peltier, were married in Williamstown on Nov. 18, 1989.
Besides her husband, she leaves a son, Sean Peltier of Williamstown; a daughter, Cassandra Peltier, at home; three sisters, Donna Hopper and her husband, Joseph, of Florida, Debra Simmons and her husband, Fred, of Lee and Beverly Adams of Holland.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Donald "Butchie" DeGroat and Richard "Dickie" DeGroat.
FUNERAL NOTICE - Services for Mrs. Peltier will be held on Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at 11 from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. A private burial will take place at a later date.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, Jan. 2, from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gale Hose Company in Williamstown in care of the funeral home.
