Dennis T. Loran

Dennis T. "Dan" Loran, 69, of 70 Prospect St. died Monday at Hillcrest Commons in Pittsfield after a long illness. Born in Buffalo, N.Y., on Aug. 30, 1932, son of Harry and Fern Fisher Loran, he attended schools there. He had resided in Lee since 1964. He served in the Air Force from 1950 until 1956. Mr. Loran was employed by Kimberly Clark Corp. for 27 years, retiring in 1991. He then worked for Lee Texaco for a number of years. He leaves his wife, the former Ellen R. Niarchos, whom he married July 25, 1955; a son, Bryan J. Loran of Waterbury, Conn.; two daughters, Denise E. Deutsch of Pittsfield and Susan T. Reidy of Lee; a brother, James Loran of Buffalo, N.Y., nine grandchildren, and a great-grandchild. He was predeceased by a brother, Bob Loran, and a sister, Gina Beaver. Funeral services for Dennis T. "Dan" Logan will be private at the convenience of the family. The KELLY FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements.
