Drury Boys Fall to Gateway

HUNTINGTON, Mass. – The Gateway Regional boys soccer team scored two goals in the second half to earn a 2-0 win over Drury on Thursday.

The first goal came from Landon McCaul in the 61st minute. The Gators added an insurance goal with five minutes left to play.

“Good hard fought game,” Drury coach John Jacobbe said. “We hit a crossbar in the first half. If that goes in it changes the whole game around. It did not go in for us and Gateway took over and had two nice goals in the second half.”

Max Soto made seven saves for the Blue Devils.

Drury (8-4-1) is at McCann Tech on Monday.
