Drury Boys Come Back to Tie Chicopee Comp
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Diego Luna scored to erase a one-goal deficit for the Drury boys soccer team and send the Blue Devils on to a 2-2 tie against Chicopee Comprehensive on Tuesday.
Drury took a 1-0 lead into half-time on a goal by Ben Harrington.
The Colts, however, scored twice in the second half to take the lead before Luna scored with an assist from Izaiah Grandchamp.
“Drury’s Brian Liang came in with 16 minutes left and his play and aggression helped lead to game-tying goal,” Blue Devils coach John Jacobbe said. “Happy for Brian, who waited patiently for his time, and then when he was called on he took advantage of his opportunity and played his best soccer of the year.”
Max Soto made five saves in goal for Drury.
The Blue Devils (8-6-2) finish the regular season on Wednesday at Hampden Charter.
