PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Michael P. Daly, Chief Executive Officer of Pittsfield Cooperative Bank, announced his retirement, concluding a career spanning more than 40 years in community banking.

A lifelong Berkshire County resident, Daly has dedicated his career to strengthening financial institutions, supporting local businesses and investing in the people who make those institutions successful, a press release stated.

"Mike's leadership has always been grounded in people—employees, customers and communities," said John Martin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Pittsfield Cooperative Bank. "His ability to recognize potential, develop talent and inspire others has left a lasting mark. The leaders he's helped shape are an important part of his legacy."

Among Daly's contributions has been his dedication to mentoring the next generation of banking leaders. Throughout his career, he has recognized talent, created opportunities and shared his knowledge with other professionals. Many of today's banking executives across the region credit his guidance in shaping their careers, while his influence continues to prepare tomorrow's leaders, a press release stated.

Daly most recently returned to lead Pittsfield Cooperative Bank through a pivotal period, including its merger with Adams Community Bank to form Trailmark Bank. His leadership helped guide the organization through this transition while maintaining a focus on employees, customers and the community.

Daly said helping bring together two longstanding community banks represents a fitting conclusion to a career dedicated to strengthening the region's financial future.

"Bringing Adams Community Bank and Pittsfield Cooperative Bank together has been a meaningful way to close out my career and give back to the community I've called home my whole life," said Daly. "I'm incredibly grateful for the relationships I've built and especially proud of the people I've had the opportunity to work with. I look forward to spending more time with my family and watching the next generation carry this work forward."

Daly's retirement coincides with the legal merger of Pittsfield Cooperative Bank and Adams Community Bank.
According to a press release, his leadership, mentorship and commitment to the Berkshires will remain an enduring part of Trailmark Bank's foundation.

Lee Announces Plans for 250th Anniversary Celebration

By Sabrina DammsiBerkshires Staff
LEE, Mass. — The town of Lee was founded on Oct. 21, 1777. Exactly one year before its 250th anniversary, officials announced the launch of events to honor its history and the people and organizations that make it special.

"Lee250 is a chance to celebrate our history, support the businesses that serve our community today, and invest in Lee's future. We encourage businesses and residents alike to get involved because the more we participate the more we can accomplish together," said Alex Heddinger, Lee Chamber of Commerce executive director.

The declaration on Wednesday featured remarks from the 250th Anniversary Committee that was established a couple months ago, Town Administrator Christopher Brittain said.

The committee is currently made up of more than 25 people ranging from business owners, local officials, youth and nonprofit representatives to community members at large.

Its four subcommittees will be organizing events throughout the year, including concerts, historical photo displays and exhibitions, a citizens' parade, all culminating in a block party.

"We hope this will be the largest celebration in the history of the town of Lee, and we want the entire community to be a part of it," Town Planner Brooke Healy, who chairs the birthday communication souvenirs subcommittee.

The block party is planned for Oct. 21, 2027, exactly 250 years after the town's establishment and will feature live music, food trucks, a "spectacular drone show" and a communitywide celebration in downtown Lee, described by Healy as the "heart" of the town.
