WESTFIELD, Mass. -- The McCann Tech boys soccer team scored twice in the second half to erase a two-goal deficit and earn a 2-2 tie at Westfield Tech on Friday.

After trailing by a goal at half-time, the Hornets made some adjustments, but the hosts’ David Bulatov scored his second of the game midway through the second to double his team’s lead.

“Without giving up, the boys dug deep and put together some great chances, leading to our first goal from Ivan Liang on an assist from Sean Rousseau on a cross from the right wing,” McCann Tech coach Stephen McAllister said.

With about 10 minutes left, Carter Foucher got the ball back to Rousseau who set up Justin Chen for the equalizer.

McCann Tech goalkeeper Michael Harris (10 saves) and the Hornets’ defense kept Westfield Tech off the scoreboard the rest of the way to preserve the point and keep their team unbeaten this fall.

McCann Tech (2-0-2) hosts Gateway on Monday.
