Mount Everett Boys Down McCann Tech

SHEFFIELD, Mass. -- Nick Tomich scored a goal and assisted on another to lead the Mount Everett boys soccer team to a 3-0 win over McCann Tech on Wednesday.
 
"The game started sluggish for both teams," Mount Everett coach Joshua King said. "After the 10-minute mark, both teams started to put some good chances in play."
 
Tomich broke a scoreless tie with a penalty kick in the 18th minute. With 5 minutes, 10 seconds left until half-time, he set up Dan Litchfield for a goal.
 
Brendan Dempsey finished the scoring with an unassisted goal early in the second half.
 
Ryan Meyer made three saves for the Eagles (10-2-3), who host Taconic on Monday.
 
Nico Moreno stopped eight shots for the Hornets (6-7-2), who travel to Commerce on Thursday.
