Roberts Leads Mounties Past Taconic

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Kofi Roberts' hat trick led the way Monday as the Mount Greylock boys soccer team beat Taconic, 6-0, at Berkshire Community College.

 

The Mounties led, 1-0, at half-time, after Tate Carothers set up Roberts for a goal in the 30th minute of play.

 

Carothers set up a second Roberts goal after half-time.

 

Zinedine Doucette, Keaton Repetto and Luca Mellow-Bartels each scored a goal, and Roberts and Reed Miles-Harris each had an assist.

 

Ward Bianchi stopped eight shots to earn the shutout in goal.

 

Mount Greylock (6-3) goes to Easthampton on Friday.

 

Taconic (4-6) hosts Hampshire on Wednesday.
